- "THE TOWER" over "BULL DOG" is marked on the top strap.
- "TRADEMARK", over the outline of a "castle with four towers", over "LONDON TOWER" is marked on the front left side of the receiver/frame.
- manufactured circa 1875 to circa 1883.
- features include: fixed front sight and a groove in the top strap for a rear sight; ovate barrel which may be tapered; solid top receiver/frame with a fluted cylinder; hinged loading gate on the right side of the standing breech; swing-out case ejector rod stored within the cylinder axis rod; flat head ejector rod; exposed spur hammer which is noticeably more upswept than Webley-type spur hammers; double/single action trigger mechanism; saw handle bird's head grip strap; checkered wooden grip plates.
